This is a little hidden gem in the Scarborough area.

We used to go grocery shopping nearby and would pass by this little joint each time.

I believe we have ordered burgers here a long time ago, but never thought to try their souvlaki. This time around, we got their fish and chips and pork souvlaki.

I was told that this is a family owned business and the service was great.

We drove by this place all the time, and have tried their burgers before but never their chicken souvlaki.

This chicken souvlaki came with salad and fries but no rice and potatoes. It was delicious and we love trying new foods at different places.

Definitely a hidden gem in Scarborough.

I decided to try this place because it had the small business look and feel, a testament to my parents who owned & operated a restaurant for 27 years.

Upon entering, a young lady greeted me and asked if I knew what I wanted, while she was wrapping up the order for another customer.  That gave the cooks a head start on grilling or preparing my order.

I saw a sign at the cash register with a few specials and I immediately honed in on the Homemade Burger Combo $8.95 as a can't go wrong choice.  Maybe the outside sign that said "Homemade Hamburgers" was a subliminal thought that was planted already!

Well, the choice of toppings were fresh and the bun seemed to make the whole homemade burger taste phenomenal.  Wow!!!

The fries were crispy and I selected a can of Coke Zero as my drink.

I was able to enjoy the meal on the patio even with heavy traffic buzzing by.

Great customer service and a fantastic meal for $10.10 taxes in.  I will return to sample other items!

I wish I took a picture of the burger and cheese poutine I ordered but they were too good to wait! Plus the burger's meat juices were oozing out slowly from the wrapper so time was of the essence!

The burger patty, OF COURSE, is bigger than your fast food chain burger like McDs but I guess it could compare to the size of an Angus patty? Anyway, point is, juicy, yummy and filling. Enough said. I tried this place at the suggestion of my friend while we were driving around and looking for a good place to have a quick, filling bite. I was not disappointed here. Me, being a big eater (and sometimes having my eyes bigger than my stomach, whatever the saying is) I also ordered the cheese poutine. Hey, I'm not around this area of the city often so I got to try the fries too in order to get a better perspective of this place and write this proper, objective and fair review! ;P back to the cheese poutine...it was CHEESY indeed and covered at the top with tons of melted marble cheese!!! YUUUUM! The gravy was all lathered throughout too...perhaps a bit too much making it a tad salty but I have a solution! Have it on the side instead so you can adjust the amount or possibly request for less gravy? It's also too bad they weren't able to put the cheese in layers/throughout the poutine so that you can enjoy the cheese even after eating the top layer. Needless to say, as good as it was, I was unable to finish the fries and had it the next day for lunch.

It looks like a mom & pop kind of shop and the service was fast. We did come during a slower evening time with some rain so perhaps that is why? Regardless, everyone was friendly and polite. I am satisfied personally and in my stomach :) I will definitely return if I'm in the area again and want another burger. I'll be smarter this time to order just the burger unless I have someone to share the poutine with!
